AXISS AUDIO - SOULUTION | TRANSROTOR | GAUDER AKUSTIC
AXISS AUDIO fielded several rooms at AXPONA and without exception its various rooms, whilst composed of quite different systems and at an array of price points all brought music to bear, which, as outlined below, I thoroughly enjoyed.
SOULUTION | TRANSROTOR | GAUDER AKUSTIC
Just prior to the music playing there was a black-quiet stillness, a clean slate, if you will, that heralded the music. And when the music began, the soundstage was quite wide, with great transparency and clarity, The tonality was good and the music leaned more to the natural and the engaging.
“Nightfall” (Charlie Hayden, John Taylor, Naim) entered through the black-quiet darkness noted above and became very atmospheric, allowing for deep insight across a stage that gave both Charlie Hayden and John Taylor space, separation on their respective instruments—upright Bass, piano—and the rendition was tight, agile, with good tone and timbre.
