L’ATELIER-AUDIO, SAMUEL FURON

The L’Atelier-Audio system was comprised of the Aqua La Scala DAC, as feed by computer, the Miyajima EC-5 preamplifier, the KORA TB200 stereo amplifier, and the  DIPTYQUE DP 160 Signature electrostatic speakers.

The sound of the system was very transparent and resolving, and the frequency response, as portrayed by the DIPTYQUE DP 160 Signature electrostatic speakers, was exceptional with every parameter of the frequency range beautifully and naturally reproduced. In truth, I was taken aback by how good the low-end frequency response from this electrostatic speaker was. But the word that best defines the overall voice of the system is natural. Natural in the sense that the L’Atelier system causes one’s shoulder’s to drop and a peaceful ease, whilst being immersed in the full, rich, and detailed sound of the system and, very much, unwilling to leave!

There were a few Best of Show systems at the Montréal Audiofest and the L’Atelier-Audio system clearly and easily classifies as one of those systems. A BEST OF SHOW SYSTEM
