TOP INTEGRATED AMPS

The various integrated amplifiers listed below are our subjective picks for the top integrated amplifiers in the world, based upon our reviews. That said, the list is a dynamic list and as we review new integrated amplifiers that we feel deserve a spot on the list, the list and the ranking will change to accommodate the new integrated amplifier. Things do change.

The Mola Mola Kula integrated amplifier is, to our ears, a state of the art in one box amplification solution. The rich midrange, the perfectly articulated and controlled bass, along with the amp’s overall grip on the music and speakers, makes it one of the great integrated amps of our time… $13,800 - $25,000

LRYIC AUDIO TI 100 MK II

The voice of the Lyric Ti 100 MkII proved incisive, transparent, detailed and wonderfully (otherworldly) musical! There were also times when I questioned its SET roots relative to its listed power ratings, as its control of speakers (even inefficient speakers—86dB) and its ability to drive things well into the sub-bass region was outstanding! Twenty watt SET integrated amps don’t move the kind of air or drive the bass the way the Lyric Ti 100 MkII does. Or, at least, they’re not supposed to. ($9,999)

Quite frankly, the Audionet WATT integrated amplifier is a stunning piece of audio engineering and industrial design. I tried to find flaws in its sonic performance to no avail. I did not get a chance to evaluate the optional phono board, but if it is on par with the amplifier, it is worth the additional grand.  $18,800

The Enleum AMP-23R, also like its predecessor, is a form-follows-function, minimalist, pragmatic, industrially-designed component, that is exceptionally transparent, natural, superbly musical, and fantastically involving. The Enleum AMP-23R is our latest DIAMOND AWARD WINNER and very, very highly recommended! $5,500

The X200 provides transparency, a silky top end, holographic midrange, and pleasing, deep bass. There is plenty of good old tube magic. Also, not to be forgotten, is the X200 can be used with KT150 power tubes as well as the KT120. Audio Hungary has an exciting line up and Mark Sossa of Well Pleased AV has done a wonderful job of spreading the word. $6,499

The LTA Z10e is, perhaps, one of the most versatile integrated/headphone amplifiers on the market today. It is certainly the most versatile headphone amplifier that I have ever come across. And it will align beautifully with all headphones types and technologies—Dynamic, Planar, Electrostatic, and even IEMs! And, I understand, it even drives efficient speakers (90dB+) too. $6,950

I really enjoyed the Parasound Halo Hint 6. I mean really enjoyed it. It exudes class, sounds wonderful, and is built to a high standard. I also really like the price. For $3200 you get an amp designed by John Curl that will drive any speaker, a DSD DAC, a phono preamp, and numerous other bells and whistles. If shopping for an integrated amplifier in the $3000 range, we honestly can’t think of another product we would recommend over the Parasound Hint Halo 6. $3,199
