AXISS AUDIO fielded several rooms at AXPONA and without exception its various rooms, whilst composed of quite different systems and at an array of price points all brought music to bear, which, as outlined below, I thoroughly enjoyed.

In this room “seamless and extended frequency extension,” found its way to my notes as did “ethereal in an electrostatic way,” which spoke to a rendition of music that brought with it an abundance of air and ambiance, a deeply set stage. Together with a notable transparency, detail, and an its ability to layer the various musicians, provided a truly engaging experience.
The system, as listed below, brought together flagship components from each of AXISS’ lines and yet it was their synergy with TaraLabs as conduit that together gave voice to the music, in a compelling way. Without question with the TransRoter turntable at the head of the system, this was one of the very few big systems to qualify as a decided best of show candidate.
