BRICASTI DESIGN
It was good seeing Damon again as he is alway easygoing and kind and very informative. He brought me up to speed on Bricasti Design’s new Reference Disk Player, the M19. And as per usual, its industrial design was clean, functional, and quite the looker. I very much look forward to reviewing it and to coupling it to our in-house reference the Bricasti Design M1SE (Special Edition) DAC, which I heartily believe is in the upper pantheon of DACs. Further, it has no trouble dispatching much more expensive DACs, easily. It’s a keeper folks! The synergy should be quite exceptional. And pairing the M19 with the other in-house DACs should be a great deal of fun.
The system sounded good, but as I had just arrived from Minneapolis and was ferried directly to the Capital Audio Fest, I was a bit discombobulated. But, of course, there’s nothing like reviewing the Bricasti Design M19 in one’s own reference system.
Just below on the second shelf to the right the Bricasti Design M1 II DAC which sport some nicely revised internals, which includes Bricasti’s:
Latest MDx processor
New higher current twin linear power supplies with
Larger performance capacitors
Maintains the option of a network streamer
