CONVERGENT AUDIO TECHNOLOGY
“Real music played here” is most certainly what the banner should have read upon entering the room. This is what was, decidedly, happening in the Convergent Audio Technology (CAT) room, and it was not subtle.
AUDIO GROUP DENMARK
The Audio Group Denmark outfitted a large room with a system that was able to fill it rather beautifully. There was no overpowering of the room or bloated bass or ‘tiny’ sound, there was, in fact, its opposite!
THE VOICE THAT IS
Doug White’s well appointed The Voice That Is room featured Tidal’s Contriva G3 loudspeaker ($79,000), as accompanied by a stack of Tidal electronics—Tidal Contros Digital Controller ($60,000), Tidal Intra Stereo Amplifier ($28,000). Accompanying the Tidal components were Silent Angels’ Genesis GX Master Clock and Bonn NX Network Switch, Siltech Ruby Crown cables…
GESHELLI LABS
It is always great to see Geno, Sherri, Jacob, Rachel, and now Jacob’s fiancée Courtney (and Joe not pictured), who together comprise GESHELLI LABS. The GESHELLI LABS JNOG2 DAC ($250) and their fully balanced ERISH2 headphone amplifier ($220) were awarded our Best Budget Product of the Year 2022 and one of the Best Products of the Year in 2022 as well.
THE AUDIO COMPANY
There was incredible tone/timbre, texture, and nuance that together pulled me into The Audio Company’s room and in no too subtle a way. And there I sat fully engaged with the music.
OVERTURE - TECHNICS
The Overture room had curated a system that brought back found memories of an earlier college system. That system was composed of a Technics integrated and a turntable. It was entry level but it provide countless hours of enjoyment. I spun the black discs, after serial all-nighters preparing for this exam or that and also just for fun and enjoyment.
GTT AUDIO - BEST SOUND OF SHOW
Suffice to say that the overall sound of the GTT Audio room was outstanding. I am constantly amazed by the Vivid Audio line and the ability of its various speakers to level-up and outperform speakers at multiples of its price!
TRIANGLE ART
The Triangle Art room was beautifully appointed in an ‘Old School’ kind of way—three turntables, tubed electronics, and horn speakers—and with decidedly new school sound that was immediately captivating…
AUDIO GROUP DENMARK
Whenever one sits in a room, is very much enjoying the music that comes from the system and the quite small speakers on display, while constantly looking for the subwoofer, when there is no subwoofer, something good is afoot.
PURE AUDIO PROJECT
Ze’ev was his kind and welcoming self, it’s his way. And it is always greatly appreciated. We had recently reviewed his Duet 15 open baffle speakers which worked very well in reviewer Oliver Masciarotte’s system.
FERN & ROBY
The Fern & Roby room was sporting not only fetching and organically designed products, it’s trademark, but the sound was also organic, natural and very engaging, in that wonderful analog way.
ALMA MUSIC
It was clear in the Alma Music room that top Marque products had been curated and were being featured from Boenicke to NAGRA to MSB to Innuos.
BRICASTI DESIGN
It was good seeing Damon again as he is alway easygoing and kind and very informative. He brought me up to speed on Bricasti Design’s new Reference Disk Player, the M19.
