THE VOICE THAT IS
Doug White’s well appointed The Voice That Is room featured Tidal’s Contriva G3 loudspeaker ($79,000), as accompanied by a stack of Tidal electronics—Tidal Contros Digital Controller ($60,000), Tidal Intra Stereo Amplifier ($28,000). Accompanying the Tidal components were Silent Angels’ Genesis GX Master Clock and Bonn NX Network Switch, Siltech Ruby Crown cables, while Equitech handled power.
The soundstage was vast, the positioning solid and unwavering, the music crystal clear, and natural, which spoke to the fact that distortion had clearly and long ago left the room. Further the bass was taunt, travelled, when needed, to subterranean depths, whilst the entire musical spectrum was transparent, well resolved, and excitingly dynamic.
The Tidal components are quite elegant, sporting exceptional industrial design. One can easily see them at task in the finest homes, where they, no doubt, belong.
The Voice That is room and the system therein easily qualified itself as one of the Best Rooms at the show. Bravo.
