GESTALT: CINNAMON, WOLF VON LANGA, TRAFORMATIC
Right off the bat, this was an aesthetically beautiful system. What can I say, aesthetics are important to me and a good deal of my friends as well. I guess when you love art, the general aesthetics of life are important to you.
Well, looking good is one thing, sounding good is the other. And this Cinnamon (love the name), Traformatic, Wolf von Langa system was making incredibly beautiful music. Image specificity was outstanding and despite the size of the Wolf von Langa SERENDIPITY speakers, they brought reach and weight to the full frequency spectrum. It was as if they were full-range, floor-standing speaker of considerable ability.
Then there was this wonderful musicality communicated by the Traformatic Head 2 SE as preamplifier, the Traformatic Pandora Monoblocks and the Cinnamon Galle DAC and Cinnamon Galle NT Network Transport via the SERENDIPITY. Together they rendered exceptional transparency, resolution, that was heaping with atmosphere, air, gravitas, and detail. This was all projected via the SERENDIPITY throughout a wide and deep soundstage.
This system was a definite runner-up for Best of Show honors and, dare I say again, quite the looker and quite exceptional musically.
