Though all of the members of the family behind Geshelli Labs were not there it was great to see Geno, Sherri, Rachel, and Rachel’s friend. Did I mention the fact that they, as a family, are definitely the “salt of the earth”—good people!
Apparently, there had been some parts issues, prior to the show, wherein availability as most if not all manufacturers have suffered from these past years, was playing havoc with Geshelli Labs. And as Geno reports, and I paraphrase, “Didn’t know if we were going to make it, due to a parts and availability issue. So, using available parts, I put together a product that had been on my mind, I had a little less than two weeks time.”
It is said, that “necessity is the mother of invention.” Well given my experience in the Geshelli Labs room with the newly fashioned GIUSEPPE monoblocks in system, necessity and invention were fully in play, the music was outstanding! Time and again the Geshelli Labs team have brought together products of incredible ability and musicality and at a cost that welcomes a much broader spectrum of folks—curios, new, journeyman, audiophile, music lover—than most manufacturers.
They played Sarah Jarousz’s “Back of My Mind” (Undercurrent, Concord Sugar Hill) for me. The song was clear, spacious, articulate, engaging, and musical to no end . Those little GIUSEPPE monoblock amplifiers (250-watts/4-Ohms) drove the speakers with a tight and commanding grip.
