It did not take long to discern of the Kubala-Sosna room that “There be magic in that room.” Having familiarity with Vivid Audio speakers, Grimm Audio, Mola Mola, and Kubala-Sosna, I know without a shadow of doubt, an iota of a doubt, for that matter, that these components were part of the powerful mix that made this small room so incredibly compelling!

This is to say, that I have a memory of each of these incredible components (or their brethren (Vivid Audio Kaya 45))—Diamond Award and Best of the Year winners all—that have spent much time in my reference systems. And what was demonstrated in a room a fraction of the size of my listening room was musical bliss—drop your shoulders, ease the crease in your eyebrows and forehead, sit back and listen for a good, long while. Was it the TRUE LIFE AUDIO (TLA) TSI Signature Integrated with a tubed preamplifier section and a solid state secondary or power section? No doubt and that, in and of itself, begs for a more through discovery of this very talented integrated. Definitely a top candidate for Best of the Show in a small room and definitely the most musically compelling system.

Joe Kubala is a man with a ready smile, an ease of having lived through the vicissitudes of life and coming out whole, patient, and wiser for it, on the other side of things. Salt of the Earth? Yes, very much so. It is always good to see Joe or to talk with him over the phone. By the way, the Kubala-Sosna cables are truly incredible. They populate both of my reference systems and I don’t know what I’d do without them.
